Would You Like Me To Set It Up?

I find it quite sad that so many business owners are missing out on potential opportunities to market their business, simply because they lack the confidence to approach other business owners.  I fully understand and appreciate how apprehensive business owners must feel at the thought of contacting other business owners. The thought of being rejected or receiving the hard shoulder, is enough to make anyone have second thoughts.

Let's face it, nobody really enjoys picking up the phone and cold calling other business owners.  Even if you have the best offer in the world, even if your offer is FREE and even if your offer could benefit the other business, it is very hard to make that initial call and not sound as though you are trying to sell something. 

It's human nature to be sceptical. We all believe that we will be ripped off, that somebody is out to scam us or that it will cost money somewhere down the line.  This scepticism, generally results in you receiving a hostile reception and is enough to put off, even the hardest of canvassers.

This fear of rejection and getting the hard shoulder, stops most business owners taking full advantage of the opportunities that are available.  No matter what your business maybe, there are opportunities staring you in the face, whether they are with other local businesses or national businesses.  All around you, there are business opportunities waiting to be taken, the crazy thing is, these are opportunities that will cost you nothing, yet are ones which you overlook every single day.

Business is all about communicating and networking, yet most business owners would prefer not to undertake these simple tasks, simply  because they believe they cannot do them.

My Solution To This Problem

After listening to many business owners and seeing just how many potential opportunities they were missing out on, I decided to try and do something about it. I decided, that it might be a worthwhile venture to try and set up a 'Network'! A 'Network' of like minded business professionals.  Business professionals, who are more than happy to share their experiences, offer help to other business owners and maybe even joint venture with each other on future projects.

Once again, I am not trying to re-invent the wheel and this is not something that is new but I am willing to set up 'The Network', if enough business owners show interest.

I am hoping that if set up, 'The Network' proves to be a valuable tool for it's members and one that you as a business owner will use to it's full potential.
